Overview: The FUNdamental Division is designed for players who are new to the sport or who prefer a more relaxed and recreational environment. It's a great place to learn the basics, improve your skills, and enjoy friendly competition with fellow ILSA members who share your love for the game.

• First $500 all goes to prize pool
• Next $500 all goes to ILSA
• Rest split 50/50 with prize pool/ILSA

Schedule:

• Round 1: Sept 1st - Sept 29th to complete 4 matches
• Round 2: Sept 30th - Oct 20th to complete 3 matches
• Playoffs: Oct 21st - Nov 3rd to complete the first 2 rounds of the bracket.
• Playoffs: Nov 4th - Nov 24th we will schedule and play out either the Final 4 or 8 on the same day 

League Format: In the FUN division, there will be two rounds of pool play followed by a single elimination bracket.  

Round 1

• To start, you’ll be placed into groups of 5
• Complete a match against each of your 4 opponents in 4 weeks
• The top 3 players from each group, by points, move on to the next round of Main. The remaining players move into an optional Consolation Group

Round 2

Main:

• You’ll be placed into groups of 4
• Complete a match against each of your 3 opponents in 3 weeks
• The top 2 players from each group will move on to the Main playoff bracket

Consolation:

• You'll move into group play or a single elimination bracket at the commission's discretion based off the number of participants

Playoff Brackets

• First round or two will be self-scheduled, just like group play
• As we get into later round of playoffs, we’ll attempt to get all remaining players to finish the bracket on the same day/evening

Game Format: “Palms Style”- Matches will be best of three games. Games 1 & 2 are 8-frame games, Game 3 is a 4-frame game with no color change.  

Points System per Match: 

• If a player wins 2-0, they earn 3 points 
• If a player wins 2-1, they earn 2 points 
• If a player loses 1-2, they earn 1 point 
• If a player loses 0-2, they earn 0 points

Prizes:

• Cash Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 players in the main bracket and top 3 players in the consolation bracket. Exact amounts will be determined after registration closes
• 1st Place will also receive a take-home trophy and a free entry into the Challenge division next season if they choose to play in it
• Pins will be awarded to the top three players in the main bracket and 1st place in the consolation bracket
• ILSA Points will be awarded in the playoffs based on the number of players, as per our Points Document
