Round 1
- To start, you’ll be placed into groups of 5

Playoff Brackets
- First round or two will be self-scheduled, just like group play
- As we get into later round of playoffs, we’ll attempt to get all remaining players to finish the bracket on the same day/evening
Game Format: “Palms Style”- Matches will be best of three games. Games 1 & 2 are 8-frame games, Game 3 is a 4-frame game with no color change.
Here’s the gist of each match:
- Flip a coin or play rock paper scissors to determine who plays what color in Game 1
- Each player takes 8 warm-up discs (4 down and 4 back) on the color they are playing with
- Play an 8-frame game
- Change color and sides of the court
- Each player takes 8 warm-up discs on their new color
- Play an 8-frame game
- If one player won both games, the match is over; otherwise continue on to game 3
- Do a mini “Lag” (1 practice disc and 1 live disc) - the winner chooses what color to play with in game 3
-
See section 2.3.2 of ILSA’s rules if you are unfamiliar with Lag
- There is no warm-up before game 3
- Play a 4-frame game
- There is no color change in the middle of game 3
- If any game is tied at its end, continue to play 2 frames at a time (with the same color you played with) until there is a winner.
Points System per Match:
- If a player wins 2-0, they earn 3 points
- If a player wins 2-1, they earn 2 points
- If a player loses 1-2, they earn 1 point
- If a player loses 0-2, they earn 0 points
