Additional Information:

The ISA adopted a rule change in October 2025 that will affect international play, including future ISA World Championships, the CanAm, and Shuffle Cup, known as the No Touch rule.

Please find the complete rule here

In an effort to fully support and prepare members of our community for this change,  and to give all our members a chance to experiment with a new-to-us strategy, we are excited to run a singles tournament using this new rule. We hope this tournament will drive conversation and interest in strategy discussions both for play at home and abroad.

Tournament Details

This is a 32-person singles tournament that will begin with pool play, followed by a top 16 single elimination playoff bracket.

Each player is guaranteed three games during pool play. Each pool will consist of 4 players and you will play each competitor in your pool in a single 8-frame non-walking singles game, with players changing color after 4 frames.

The top two from each pool will advance to the 16-player playoff bracket.

The Quarterfinals, Semi-Finals and Finals will continue to be non-walking singles, however pushers will be used to help expedite play.

Disclaimer: 32 player tournament format subject to change at the tournament director's discretion.

The “No Touch Rule” will be in effect for the entirety of this tournament, so players at the opposite end of the court are responsible for paying close attention to where Disc 1 is placed at the start of each frame, and if Disc 2 of the frame makes contact with Disc 1 while in the “no touch zone”, Disc 1 must be retuned to its original position, and Disc 2 is removed from play immediately.

Additionally, we ask you make a clear ✋hand gesture to indicate “stop, do not touch”, to any biscuit landing in the “no touch zone”, and the standard 🫳 wave “no good” sign if Disc 1 is touching the shufflegram, indicating it can be touched.

If there’s disagreement of the disc placement, please reference the rules here to proceed.
