Join us for the first ever ILSA Field Trip! We’ll be hosting a doubles tournament at Riverside Park in Janesville, WI where they have 6 outdoor courts overlooking the Rock River. We’re excited to offer an opportunity for players to participate in a beaded court tournament without the high costs and PTO required to participate in a national tournament out of state. 

Tournament Details

This is a 16-team Any Doubles tournament that will consist of pool play followed by Main and Consolation single elimination playoff brackets. 

Each team is guaranteed three games during pool play. Each pool will consist of 4 teams and you will play each team in your pool in a single 8-frame game, with teams changing color after 4 frames. Each player will be allowed 6 warm-up discs (2 for speed, 4 on starting color) before frame 1. 

The top team from each pool will advance to the 4-team playoff in the upper bracket. The second place team in each pool will advance to a 4-team playoff for consolation. Playoff matches will be a single 16-frame game, with teams changing color after 8 frames. Each player will be allowed 6 warm-up discs (2 for speed, 4 on starting color) before frame 1. 

In the event that the tournament does not sell out, the format may change in order to maximize playing time for everyone. 

What else is going on at Riverside Park? 

You’ll have lots of options of how to spend your time between games! There will be a shuffleboard court available for open play as well as plenty of space for yard games. If your team doesn’t make it out of group play, there are many other sport options throughout the 87-acre park.

Glory and ILSA points will be awarded to the top 8 teams.

Registration

The entry fee for the tournament is $100 per player ($200 per team). This includes:

• Round-trip transit from Chicago on a chartered (party) bus - BYOB!
• Entry into the tournament 
• A BBQ party before we head home!

We encourage you to partner with friends or family-members for this outing. Only one player per team must be an ILSA-member.

NOTE: If we don't fill the bus by August 29th, the tournament will be held but transportation will not be provided. Registered players will be notified and offered a choice: either attend the tournament and BBQ with a partial refund, or receive a full refund for the event.
